Flashback answer

The speedy, playmaking cat who torched Texas Tech that day was Walter Stanley. He didn't finish his career in Boulder, instead sprinting out of town to Mesa College in Grand Junction, where another recruit by the name of Tony Martin also played, like Stanley, before going pro.

After his NFL career in Green Bay and Detroit, Stanley was an investor, started his own sports agency, and worked with charity groups, including one that was led by his former college roommate at CU, someone named Jay Humphries.

So who is going for 222 against the Red Raiders this time?

Not going to be through the air, we know that, not by a wide receiver. If Bernard Jackson busts out for that, it would be quite a show. Maybe in the next couple of years, the wide receiver position will be re-introduced to the offensive attack. The quarterback-receiver chemistry will be back.

Until then, let's see if tight end Riar Geer can get to 222 yards receiving, for the season.

Interview posted tonight.
