CollegeFootballNews.com has picked Colorado defensive end Abraham Wright as it's defensive player of the the Midseason in the Big 12. Oklahoma's Adrian Peterson is the top offensive talent.
Wright is off to a strong start with 8 sacks through 6 games, becoming the one of the few shining stars during a difficult season.
The publication also listed Colorado, surprise, as the bigest disappointment in the conference, although it does expect the Buffs to be better in the future.
"Obviously, (Dan) Hawkins can coach and things will eventually turn around," the story said.
The piece also predicted the Buffs to beat Kansas State and Iowa State this season while dropping the other games on their schedule, to finish 2-10.
