BGT lunchtime edition

CNNSI.com's Seth Davis isn't mentioning anything new but since he's a credible national source, we'll share this anyway.

"A little birdie tells me that Denver Nuggets' assistant Mike Dunlap is a front-runner for the Colorado job."

BGT: Dunlap is definitely 'someone of interest' but is he 'the person of interest?' If you read this space regularly, you know from my conversations with others, from what I see around the country, Dunlap's name is mentioned most. A lot of question marks surrounding him regarding recruiting and some about his intense approach but none regarding his ability, drive and successful track record.

More Davis, this time on the lovable teddy bear down south in west Texas.

"Pat Knight told me last week he could envision his dad taking some kind of media job after he retires, but not necessarily as a college hoops TV analyst. Can you imagine how entertaining Bob Knight would be as, say, the host of his own radio show? He could talk sports, history, culture, politics, fishing, whatever. I know I'd listen."

BGT: Yeah, we all might listen -- once. After that, how many of us would tune in again to someone who thinks they know it all, is overbearing, self-righteous and dehumanizing.

O.K., I see your looks. See, we're not talking about that being the description of me.

Not today, at least.

Knight is a buffoon. A tremendous basketball mind, strong willed, successful, desires long-term success for his players but has delusions of being an Army general instead of a teacher and basketball coach. He's a bore.

Who you looking at?
