CU Hoops gets unwelcome news

Senior guard Marcus Hall has been ruled ineligible for the fall semester, sidelining him until December.

The 6-foot-1 Hall, who prepped in Houston, has started 44 games in his career as a Buffalo and was expected to play major minutes this season.

By not making the grade academically, he will now sit and watch a roster full of talented freshman get much of the playing time earmarked for him.

TheTruth...Hall was likely to start and play a lot based more on his experience than talent. Kal Bay may not be ready to take Hall's minutes but his talent is reported to be strong at the point. Dwight Thorne is also a guard with potential, especially since he will now get a greater opportunity to play. Throw in off-guard Xavier Silas and Hall is rolling the dice with his senior season if these players prove worthy out of the gate as true freshmen.
